Notes on these boards

These independent music boards include a small selection of earlier discussions recovered with permission from public archives. Restored messages keep their original dates and links to the captures, with contributor identities anonymized. Gaps remain in the archive. New Listener posts are marked separately from old messages. This forum does not represent the previous operators or members.

A seat for every listener

Read the boards or write a post without an account, email address or profile. Discussions on the boards are public. Backstage chats are unlisted and use a shared passphrase: whoever knows it can read the complete history and contribute. There is no identity verification. Make the passphrase reasonably private, pass it only to your group, and keep the conversation civil.

The record we retain

Public discussions, follow-ups and backstage chats are retained in full. We also record request timestamps, pages or actions, browser details, IP addresses, connection metadata, response status, database timings and errors. The operator can access both the conversations and these detailed records. Conversation history and database request logs have no automatic expiry.

Backstage passphrases are stored on the server only as one-way hashes. The open page remembers your passphrase until you leave or reload. Request logs leave out passphrases, authorization headers and cookies. Backstage messages are kept separately from the public boards, but are still stored on the server without end-to-end encryption. No account or cookies are required.

Just the message

Messages are plain text. Uploaded files, HTML, images and embedded media are not supported. Each board community or backstage chat has a shared posting limit to reduce spam.
